4.5 starsThe 5th Wave was every bit as good and bad* as the early hype made it out to be. (I loved all 3 of them!)The book is told in multiple POVs and it took time getting used to. It was rather confusing at first because there aren't any labels and sometimes you have to read almost an entire page before you find out who's POV it was in. But it mostly worked out in the end because it keeps us guessing on who exactly were the real bad guys due to conflicting information from the characters. I really liked how the narrative eventually ties together.*The sole reason I'm not giving this book full 5 stars is due to the insta-love. It felt completely unnecessary!Evan the Silencer could have had a different reason for sparing Cassie. Why must it be because of freaking "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU"??? WTF. Seriously.-----------------------------------I don't usually use GIFs but I finally won a preorder of this!!!!! SO HAPPY.
