Just like the first book, Half-Blood, Pure was very gripping and action packed. It kept me up quite late and I immediately resumed reading the moment I woke up. However, while I liked it, I didn't quite love it. The reason is mainly because of Alex, a.k.a. the MC. She's too rash and headstrong at times, considering that there are lives at stake. The curfews and restrictions were placed because of the increasing daimon attacks (plus the fact that half-bloods could also be turned and can easily hide among the regular ones) yet she kept acting defiant and thinking how unfair it was (The whole pure blood vs. half-blood issue is really unfair but sometimes we need to look at the bigger picture for the moment y'know?) I thought that she would become more rational/think more of the consequences of her actions especially after Caleb's death (which made me tear up) but it didn't quite last. What I liked about Pure :- We get to see more of Seth (LOL! Call me shallow :P) I don't dislike Aiden but there's just something about Seth...(Somehow I always end up liking the 'other guy' in love triangles)- More development! The plot thickens! Why do the Furies want to kill Alex? What exactly does the oracle's prophecy entail? What will happen when Alex Awakens?I can't wait to read Deity.
