Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1)

Captive in the Dark - C.J. Roberts This is not my usual kind of book. I read a variety of genres: paranormal, YA, urban fantasy, historical romance, fantasy, etc but I barely touch erotica. Or BDSM for that matter. Out of morbid curiosity I once tried a bit of 50 Shades to see what all the hoohah was about. Needless to say, I did not come out a fan.So anyway, I saw this being featured in a post with [b:Sins & Needles|16029994|Sins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy, #1)|Karina Halle|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347859611s/16029994.jpg|21799599] and [b:The Opportunist|13312527|The Opportunist (Love Me With Lies, #1)|Tarryn Fisher|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1360629631s/13312527.jpg|18518411]. Both I've read and really liked so I decided to give [b:Captive in the Dark|12513614|Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1)|C.J. I stayed glued to the pages till the last page. Until the very end, there were lots of things that happened, things that I can't quite stomach but managed to. The book held me captive. It was sort of like watching a scary movie when I was a kid. Covering my eyes when the it got scary but still wanting to peek between fingers because I was so curious. ----------------------------------So, despite my initial misgivings...I finished this. I don't know what to rate it. o__o
