I loved the historical romance (Wallflowers, Hathaways) and the The Travises by Lisa Kleypas so I was really excited when I first found out she was writing a new series called Friday Harbor. So far each book in this series has been a disappointment and Dream Lake was not an exception. It started out interesting enough I guess. We meet the hero of this book, the third Nolan brother Alex and the heroine Zoe. As the story continued I just couldn't connect to the characters at all, Zoe especially. The description of food was beautiful (and delicious!) but I found it a tad excessive. The thing that bugged me the most was the magic/ghost/paranormal angle. It just felt so...random.
