So, this turned out to be better than I expected. It was probably due to that I had incredibly high expectations...I wasn't a fan of the writing style when I first started the book. The sentences felt clipped and there were a ton of needless descriptions. However, when I came back to it after putting it on hold for a few days it didn't bother me as much. Maybe it was a mood thing. If I had just made myself read on earlier this would have ended up with a 2 star rating. The story was quite enjoyable. Some parts of the plot was really predictable but some I didn't expect at all. I had also assumed it would be free of the dreaded love triangle but that wasn't meant to be either. But this one didn't grate on me as much and I liked that Mac was no pushover, although she was stupid to try to confront the killer herself..Would I read the sequel [b:Thornhill|13063813|Thornhill (Hemlock, #2)|Kathleen Peacock|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1360335589s/13063813.jpg|18229334]? Probably. Because I'm curious to know what would happen after they find Kyle.
